From code to server: web apps that stay online

I build websites and web apps in Python and JavaScript and take care of everything production needs: server, automated deployment, HTTPS, backups and monitoring. You work with one person, from the first sketch to a running system.

What I do

Websites & landing pages with SEO

A fast, responsive website built to be found on Google.

  • Domain, HTTPS and hosting set up
  • Technical SEO: sitemap, structured data and multilingual pages
  • Contact form with new-message alerts
  • Cookie-free visitor analytics
Examples: this website and the Maciel & Morais law firm (archived project)

Custom web applications

The system your spreadsheet can't handle, built around your process.

  • Python/Flask, JavaScript and PostgreSQL
  • Login, admin panel and permissions
  • Records, inventory, sales and reports
  • Automated tests on critical flows
Examples: BookCase and Yard Control

Deployment, Docker & CI/CD

Take your app from "works on my machine" to real production.

  • Containerize your app with Docker
  • GitHub Actions pipeline: tests, build and automatic deploys
  • VPS or cloud setup with nginx, HTTPS and firewall
  • Backups and a rollback plan
Example: this website's pipeline and infrastructure

Monitoring & maintenance

Know something broke before your customers do.

  • Uptime monitoring and alerts
  • Security updates and verified backups
  • Incident investigation and fixes
  • Ongoing small improvements
Background: monitoring critical environments at Semantix

How I work

  1. Discovery You tell me the problem; I ask the questions that matter.
  2. Proposal Scope, timeline and price agreed in writing before we start.
  3. Short iterations Frequent preview versions so you can follow along and adjust.
  4. Live and supported Launch, documentation and support after delivery.

Real work

About me

I'm a developer who also runs production infrastructure. That combination is what sets me apart: I don't just hand over code, I deliver a system that is live, with automated deployment, backups and monitoring.

At Semantix, I monitor critical production environments, including SAP, with Zabbix, Datadog, Grafana and Control-M. I investigate incidents down to the root cause and work in Portuguese and English with international teams. Before that, at Solus Software, I fixed production issues in PL/SQL, Delphi, PHP and JavaScript systems.

In my own projects I build end to end: BookCase, a management system running in production for used bookstores; a yard control app used by the team at a Localiza kiosk; and this website, with its blog, admin panel, cookie-free in-house analytics, job-search bot and automated CI/CD deployment.

  • From code to server I build, ship and maintain: one person accountable for the whole system.
  • Production-grade experience Monitoring, incident response and root-cause analysis in enterprise environments.
  • Real clients Systems used by real businesses, not just study projects.
  • Portuguese and English Clear communication with clients and teams in Brazil and abroad.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with clients outside Brazil?

Yes. I work remotely, in English or Portuguese, and international payment is agreed in the proposal.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope. After a short call, I send a proposal with a fixed scope and price, with no surprises halfway through.

How long does it take?

The timeline is in the proposal, along with the scope. I deliver in small iterations, so you can follow progress throughout the project.

Can you host it?

I can host and maintain it for you, or set everything up on your own account (AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner or any VPS) and hand it over documented.

I already have an app. Can you take it over?

Yes. Much of my experience is exactly that: supporting and fixing systems in production. I start with an assessment of the code and infrastructure.

Which technologies do you use?

Python (Flask), JavaScript and TypeScript, SQL (PostgreSQL and PL/SQL), Docker, nginx, GitHub Actions and Linux. For monitoring, Zabbix, Grafana and Datadog.

Let's get your project live

Tell me what you need, even if it's still a rough idea. I'll reply with questions, a plan and, when it makes sense, a proposal.
